We are currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of Millwright. This position would be stationed out of our terminal located in Daysland, AB. Reporting to the General Manager, this individual will play a critical role within the facility coordinating, tracking and performing routine maintenance and upkeep of all processing, storage and shipping systems on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic to intermediate mechanical, and structural repairs to maintain operations of existing plant systems and supporting infrastructure.
- Ensure all periodic inspection reports and work tickets are maintained in accordance with ISO 22000 requirements for the terminal.
- Conduct condition inspection and preventative maintenance through a combination of time-based inspection, vibration analysis, oil analysis and thermal imaging.
- Execute planned maintenance tasks while being conscious of safety and the needs of the business
- Track life cycle of major components and forecast wear-out times.
- Aid in the supervision and management of contractors on-site, with a focus on safety.
- Conduct routine maintenance and perform safe work processes.
- Build and contribute to a plant-wide safety culture, believing in zero injuries.
- Participate in a respectful working environment where employees can bring forward not only ideas and improvements but concerns of all nature, including safety and harassment issues.
- Be willing and able to be on-call on a regular basis to support the team.
- Provide augmentation and back-up to Grain Assistants as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in an industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to multi-task.
- Experience in welding and fabrication would be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Working knowledge of grain handling would be an asset.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
