Paterson GlobalFoods (PGF) is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Marketing & Finance Analyst to join our Corporate Development team on a full-time basis. Reporting directly to the Chief Corporate Development Officer, the successful candidate will play a critical role in providing financial and business insights that support strategic initiatives, business unit development, marketing strategies, and new investment opportunities. This role involves working closely with senior leadership and business managers across PGF’s subsidiaries and divisions.
The ideal candidate has a strong business acumen, advanced analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving complex problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic marketing programs and materials in collaboration with business unit leaders
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support business development and investment decisions
- Analyze business unit performance and model future growth scenarios under varying market and operational assumptions
- Create and deliver professional-grade presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in the development of marketing and communication content for digital platforms, media, and promotional campaigns
- Identify and engage with prospective customers through research, outreach, and cold calling
- Work on cross-functional projects to support corporate development and strategic planning initiatives
- Maintain databases and reporting tools to track marketing metrics, business performance, and customer engagement
- Prepare written reports, business cases, and recommendations for senior leadership
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and strategic initiatives across the company
- Collaborate with the finance and credit department to assist with compliance to internal accounting and credit policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in marketing, business analysis, or strategic planning role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced Excel skills are a strong asset
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva) considered an asset
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a data-driven mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Comfortable with customer outreach and conducting cold calls
- Agricultural industry knowledge or experience is an asset but not required
