Paterson GlobalFoods (PGF) is currently seeking a highly dependable, detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Accounting Clerk. In addition to providing administrative and accounting support, the successful candidate will manage numerous day-to-day accounting activities. This position is ideally suited for individuals who are well organized, have excellent time management skills and can maintain a high level of performance while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Post and analyze month-end accounting entries.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Support operations with various related requests.
- Check, verify and process invoices.
- Sort, code, and enter accounts payable data.
- Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices.
- Daily futures/option trades entry and margin reconciliation.
- Daily futures/options reports preparation.
- Monthly futures/options reconciliations and analysis
- Perform filing and general administrative tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Accounting Diploma and/or prior experience in an accounting environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Accounting experience in a high-volume environment considered an asset.
