Paterson Grain is currently seeking a hardworking, analytical professional to fill the role of Accounting Analyst in our head office in Winnipeg, MB. The successful candidate will manage numerous day-to-day accounting activities. This position is ideally suited for individuals who are well organized, have excellent time management skills and can maintain a high level of performance while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Financial analysis of commodity sales and purchases;
- Work closely with commodity traders and logistics coordinators to determine future marketing activity;
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements;
- Assisting in the preparation of year-end audit file;
- Preparation of various month-end commodity reports;
- Inventory reconciliations;
- Preparation of commodity foreign currency positions;
- Reviewing and performing analysis of commodity P&Ls;
- Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations related to the commodity P&Ls;
- Provide support for the grain marketing department.
Qualifications:
- Accounting Diploma/Degree;
- Above average excel skills;
- Outstanding communication skills.
