The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the planning and dispatching of drivers, trucks, and trailers.
Responsibilities:
- To meet or exceed customer expectations while maximizing revenue per mile.
- To reduce empty miles as much as possible resulting in increased revenues.
- To provide relevant feedback to the General Manager on market conditions and driver performance.
- Frequent communication with drivers and General Manager.
- Negotiates freight rates with customers.
- Other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate
- Previous experience in the trucking industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving & decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of customs and border clearance processes
